I started in the political work in College where I got into the student clubs and the organizations. Going to U of Miami and looking for a Latin American Association and finding that there was no active one. A few friends got together and did the paper work to activate LASA (The Latina American Student Association), I was elected President and was for the next two years. I was also elected to be VP of COISO (Council of International Students and Organizations) for one term. I have always liked the idea of politics.

Coming back to Costa Rica and getting in the conservation world, I saw how politics moved the decision making of the community and the country. So to make a difference I had to learn the process and get to know people that could help me in the process. As I got to know more people, I slowly started to be part of the election process, got invited in the visits to communities, work in the image and marketing for some friends and now I am in the stage, as I am heading the ballot for the Regidores (municipal governing council) of Perez Zeledón. http://xinia.cr/conozcanos/6/La-Papeleta-a-Regidores

I have worked for Alexander Mora Mora in the Asamblea Legislativa as an Advisor. Now I am working with Xinia Espinoza from day one in her path to become Diputada; manage the Marketing and Image department, part of the executive committee. I am also part of the Tourism Expert Team, from the start, that works with Laura Chinchilla to help create her presidential plan for tourism in Costa Rica, as she works her way to become the first female President.
